Martin is a retired solicitor, having practised law in the corporate finance world for more than 30 years, primarily in the UK but also in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.

Martin graduated from the University of Sheffield with an Hons degree in Law, before embarking on a career as a lawyer. He was admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales and as a Barrister of the Islands of Bermuda. Martin’s interest in beach erosion and sea-life/coral conservation was heightened while practising as an Attorney in the Cayman Islands, He retired from the law in 2018.

His recent interests include making private investments and cycling.
